    Since you have a 59 too we should exchage notes often.
 
    My car (bastardised to the core) has what I believe a 67 vintage trans 
along with the whole axle and tube setup. The rear drums are ribbed (66-67 I 
believe) and the fronts smooth.
 
    I cant say whether the 'bastardiser' mixed n matched parts like you 
describe. I did notice one thing tho. The axle tubes have one of a kind 
mounting points for the rear brake lines. They are adjustable. The clamp like 
setup can be moved along the tubes and tightened at a suitable spot. Ive never 
seen such a setup in the junkyard trans I have seen. Also have a spare gearbox 
which came out of a cherry 67 and that has the fixed supports. 
 
   I am interested in the pics you have. I have some myself and I hope to find 
a way to share with you guys.
