Hi,

I share concerns others have expressed about robovacs and cords. Many hardware
stores have wire covers that might make this viable, though. They're rubberized
conduits that one places over the cords on the floor, that are tapered on
either side and have a flattend top; it's like a ramp up a quarter or half
insch, across the cord, and down the ramp, and they're about 2 or 3 inches
wide. They're designed so people walking over the cords don't trip on them. You
cut the length to slightly shorter than the length of the exposed cord you want
to cover, and insert the cord length on the underside of the rubberized
container. There is a longitudinal slit along the container so the cord simply
pushes into place. This also helps prevent the cord from coming out of the
channel. I don't think these are very costly. I've had good luck with
preventing walkers tripping, but havn't tried a robovac. I think they're mostly
gray or brown, so not very attractive, but that hasn't bothered me <smile>.

Subject: RE: Roomba 980 with an app!

Hi.

I have a basic question about the Roomba, or other robotic vacumes. How do
they handle cords on the floor? I have cords hooked between my computer and a
mixer, and it would be somewhat difficult to move them off the ground. I hope
these cleaners can work with them, because I could use this technology.

Thanks in advance for any info.
