Hi.

This reminds me of what people thought when the automobile first came on the
scene. They took some effort to keep running. Songs were written describing
the difficulties people had with their cars. One of these was Get Out and Get
Under, describing the person having to fix something on the car every so many
miles. Today autos are much more reliable, and we seldom think of something
going wrong. I see self driving cars the same way. The technology is even
farther along than the time that I mentioned about the horseless carriage, and
I think it will be a few short years until we see them in use. As for cost,
well, I see that rapidly coming down as well. Look at CD players. At first,
these devices cost $1,000, and if you got a writer, this was in the tens of
thousands of dollars. This was in the mid 80's. Fast forward by ten years,
and this cost drasticly came down. Today you can get a CD player for $50, and
this can be either just a player or a recorder.

Will self driving cars be around during my lifetime? I think so, but it will
take time for the general public to accept them. I don't think that the blind
will have as much trouble getting them as you may think. I think what will
happen is these vehicles will have nobody behind the wheel. When this happens,
it will be time for the blind to advocate for the use of them. If people are
against this, we can say that they are already in use.

Just my thoughts.

Have a blessed day, and don't work too hard.
