Correct. There is a theft and loss plan. Maybe because I didn’t say Apple Care
Plus I guess. It covers two years. Since I didn’t get the phone through the
carrier, I just went ahead and made the one time payment instead of spreading
it out which would’ve brought it to around $300 or something.
Also in my case, I opened a new credit card in anticipation of getting a new
phone and some other large purchases I needed to make. I got 18 months of zero
interest, 1 to 3% cash back depending on what you charge and $150 back if you
charged more than $500 within 90 days. The usual card churning perks you look
for when card reward surfing.
For me, the math worked out. I financed the phone for free and got something
back to set off the price. My 0% goes through February of 2020.
Everyone’s got to make their own determination though. This was my first time
getting Apple Care Plus. On Feb 10, 2019, at 8:25 PM, Robin Frost
