Hi all, Firstly thanks to Neil for approaching this in the way he has. Whenever I engage with a technology or service provider on accessibility issues I always initially push it as something that they should want to do. Past that point it moves into them doing it because it isn't something they want to be publically known for not doing. And only lastly do I try to lean on the legal angles; if the focus is on legalities from day 1 then I worry that problems of compliance to the exact letter of the law becomes the goal and often that's really not the ideal.
So yes I concur that the legal avenues have their utility but I commend Neil on engaging with Sonus over such an extended period and using non-trivial amounts of his own time in trying to work with the company. But if after being shown the issues over an extended period the company still makes the decision not to address them -- ignorance of inaccessibility is no longer a defence -- then a social media campaign is completely warranted.
