Hello, I have a wifi only model of the mini. I honestly wish I waited and bought the cellular model. Just the flexibility it would have brought is notice by me at times. I recently spent a week in south florida, and brought my iPad mini. There were times when I definitely missed not having cellular data connectivity. I actually ended up turning on the hotspot feature on my iPhone 5 to remedy this problem. I mean, if you never plan to take your mini out your home, or anywhere where your not sure of the wifi access, sure, the wifi only model will work a treat. But, if you really plan to travel with it, or, your not really sure what your plans are for the device, I would spend the extra money.
