When I bought my i phad 2, I just got the wifi model since I already have an i phone. If I really want to, I can use my phone as a hot spot. Usually, though, even if I take my i phad with me, I'm someplace with wifi. I even have an app on there called wifi finder for when I'm someplace where I don't know where there's wifi so I can find open spots. I figured it wasn't worth the extra cost to get an i pad with cellular. jmo, Caitlyn
