Hello Raul, OK, I just redeemed my $15 card in iTunes (latest update) and Jaws 14 (latest update). I am running all of this on a Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit laptop and I apologize in advance for taking only 1 minute to do this. Here is what I did:
After I opened iTunes, I tabbed to the iTunes Store button and pressed enter. After a couple of seconds I heard that characteristic swoosh indicating the iTunes Store website finished loading. Instead of going to the "[email protected], View my Account" button, I just used Insert+F7 on the actual web page and brought up all the links. I found the "Redeem" link and pressed enter. iTunes prompted me to enter my Apple ID password which I did and pressed enter. I waited a few seconds until the swoosh sound indicated the page finished loading. I now used Control+Home to make sure I was at the top of the page, then I arrowed down and this is what appears (I only pasted this here to show what should be there): iTunes store Secure Connection Redeem Code Enter your gift card or download code. This code will be applied to your Apple ID, [email protected]. Enter your gift card or download code. Edit field is here, Jaws simply says Edit Redeem (this is a button) With my virtual cursor at the very top of the page, I now used Insert+z to turn of the virtual cursor since I often found that it's easier to tab between fields and controls in iTunes Now I tabbed once and that put me into the edit field. I had already typed my gift card code into Notepad and copied it to the clipboard so I now used Control+V to paste it. Raul I believe is correct in saying that Jaws doesn't read the code after it's been pasted. Anyhow, since I knew the code was correct, I tabbed once more to the "Redeem" button which Jaws also announces as "read only" in this case. I pressed enter and a few seconds later I received the thank-you message for redeeming the code. I turned the virtual cursor back on for all applications. As a last check I used Control+Shift+F to get out of the store area and into the search box, then I tabbed 3 times where I found the read only area which showed my available iTunes balance. I had $3.05 before and now it showed $18.05 which means my $15 card did get redeemed OK. Now, just to test this without turning off the virtual cursor, I just went back and since I didn't remember my redeemed code any more, I just made one up with the same number of characters. I used "e" to jump to the Edit field after the above page displayed. One thing that doesn't seem to work here is Auto Forms mode, so I pressed enter and that put me in edit mode. I typed in the code, tabbed once and pressed enter on the redeem button. After I reviewed the screen I found a message below the Redeem button which said the code I entered was invalid. Interestingly enough I could now read the code with Jaws as well. I hope this helps, Raul, and that you can reproduce this on your computer. If not I will take your job along with all your clients as well as all your iDevices. I'll replace them with a prepaid Samsung flip phone and a VictorReader Stream, imagine how simple life will be without the burdon of all that technology *smile*.
