I'll do both iCloud and Pc backup, the Pc backup being encrypted before
the upgrade. Better to be safe than sorry.

I already remove apps from my phone that are unusable, but I won't

I'll upgrade to IOS 7 when I have some time to play with it and explore
it's new features, which will probably be on the weekend. I don't want
to be running into some new features when I'm in a hurry and need my
iPhone for something. It's probably nothing I need to worry about, but I
don't need to move up right away, so I'll just do it when it works into
my schedule.

There are always apps we download to try them and end up always using

apps we prefer so, no harm in dumping them.
I also noticed that it is wise not to do the upgrade on the day it comes
out. I don't know if its because the servers are too busy but it often
happens that there errors in the downloads. I usually wait 1 or 2 days
after the release. After all, what's the rush. My current version is
working well.
