Yes, on my last update it was a requirement, good point!

It's always been a good idea to plug your phone in before updating the OS. If IOS itself hasn't made it a requirement, it's at least thrown up a dialog suggesting it. You don't want a power related issue to result in the install being interrupted. this is a good way to brick your phone.

I have always updated on the first day the update was available, and
I've never done anything to prepare my phone for the update. I have
never had a problem.

Oops, I hope I haven't jinxed myself

Hi,

It was strongly suggested to me to delete all the apps I never use

I think I will follw the advice as I do have apps on there I never use.
There are always apps we download to try them and end up always using
the
apps we prefer so, no harm in dumping them.

I also noticed that it is wise not to do the upgrade on the day it comes
out. I don't know if its because the servers are too busy but it often
happens that there errors in the downloads. I usually wait 1 or 2 days
after the release. After all, what's the rush. My current version is
working well.

I haven't heard that you need to do anything, either through any
information
from Apple, news feeds or in chatting to IOS 7 beta users. I think
all you
need is a good backup.

but is there anything else?
