Hello Doc and All,

I'd like to provide an explain for the response that was sent to Doc.

Apple has four classifications for in-app purchases. They are as followed:
consumable, non-consumable, non-renewing subscriptions, and auto-renewable
subscriptions. Two of those purchases are restorable if the app was
accidentally deleted or the device had to be restored without backup. The
in-app purchases that are restorable are: non-consumable and auto-renewable
subscriptions. This information comes directly from the Apple website (link
provided at the end of the message).

In the case of TapTapSee, the credits for pictures are categorized as
consumable products. Therefore, they are not renewable. The monthly
subscriptions, are not auto-renewable. Therefore, they are also not
restorable. Now as mentioned, we are looking for a possible way around this
issue.

One solution, as Michael noted, is to restore the purchases from your
backup. The backup would have to be made prior to deleting the app and/or
switching devices.

Doc, I apologize for the email not going into details to explain the issue
that we're facing with restoring previous credits. However, I am glad that
we are able to address this issue in the open forum.

Below I'd like to provide you with a direct quote of the information that
is available on Apple's page in regard to in-app purchases:

"If you lose your In-App Purchases because apps were accidentally deleted
or you had to restore your device without a backup, you may be able to
download some of your purchases again for free. See which types of In-App
Purchases you need to purchase again or can redownload for free in the
table:

Purchase again: Consumable and non-renewing subscriptions.

Download for free: Non-consumable and auto-renewable subscriptions.

To download an In-App Purchase again, you must download it from within the
installed app using the same iTunes Store account name you used for the
original In-App Purchase."

I'd also like to mention that we've been in communication with Apple, and
are still seeking a possible solution. We'll continue to keep you informed
on the progress.

Best Wishes,
