Hmm... perhaps we need better, or at least more detailed, documentation
in README.vms.
Also this may be another case where we ought to allow
easy command line configuration along the lines of:
@configure "-Dprefix=dka300:[perl-5_8_0.] "-Uperl_symbol" "-Dperl_verb=DCLTABLES"
"-des"
then have that do "the right thing(tm)". Does this sound desirable?
