I was wondering about the safety of hydrogen cylinders in homes. Wouldn't it be better to produce the hydrogen by electrolysis and instead of storing it? The system could produce a small amount at a time and does it in a small chamber replenishing it as it's required.
Alternatively, some safety system would need to be incorporated which would vent the hydrogen to atmosphere via a duct or flue in an event a problem arises like fire.
