My guess is that once you load libvotca_tools.so, cannot be found anymore. Try two things: 1.) Post the output of $ ldd /home/u/espinosa/test/lib/libvotca_tools.so 2.) Did you have $ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/local/lib already?
