That sounds way better than the movie.  Guess I'll have to read it now.

Speaking of "A River Runs Through It"... yes it's based on a book by Norman Maclean.  I recently listened to the book tape while driving to Spokane and it's way better than the movie (yes, I know that's sooo typical to say).  The book deals with the flyfishing a lot more than the movie did - it actually discusses what's going through Norman's head while he's fishing, why he chose a particular pattern, why that pattern was good on one pool and not the next, etc.  Also, as with most movies, the storyline is rather different.
