I scouted Chico and Hoodsport today to see how the chum run was doing. Chico had zip. Not a fish in sight yet. The fellow at Northwest Angler Fly Shop (nice shop) In Poulsbo thought they wouldn't be in at Chico for a couple of weeks.
Ran on down to Hoodsport to see how the run was going there. Not many fish have come in yet. There are a few, but the run is not in full swing. I landed two right away, but then nothing for an hour and a half. I think chum are a blast to catch. If anyone hears about Chico starting up, I'd appreciate it if they could drop me a line.
