Hi David
I tried this but still get the message from Airport Utility that it
was unable to find any Apple wireless devices. Rescan brings up the
same message.
This was so easy to set up the first time but I can't remember what I
did :-(

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I actually took the power
lead out of the Time Capsule, waited for 30 seconds and plugged back
in. Hey presto Airport Utility recognised and all was up and
running again! Hope this helps.
