It can't be just a Mauritius phenomenon because I am encountering very
similar problems here in Bunbury.
I just bought a Time Capsule on Thursday and set it up on Friday.
Initially all went well, but then I went back to connect an Airport
Express so that I could connect to quality speakers, that's when the
trouble started.
I get the same message when I use Airport Utility - "Airport Utility
was unable to find any Apple wireless devices."
I "App Zapped" Airport Utility and re-installed it. Same problem. We
have 3 computers in the house 2 iMac [Intels] and a MacBook [also
Intel] - all running on the latest Leopard. When I try Airport Utility
on any of the 3 machines I get the same error message. That is odd in
itself.
Fortunately, I still have my Snow Airport Base Station - when I use
that, I can access the Internet etc. just like before -however, when I
run Airport Utility - I get the same error message. When I look in
Network Preferences, it shows my network is there. So if it shows in
Network Prefs, why will Airport Utility not see it?
I have tried re-setting Time Machine, the modem, connecting Time
Machine via Ethernet - all to no avail.
It seems to me that Airport Utility is the problem, but why on all 3
computers? If I don't get it working this evening, I will call Apple
in the morning. I will pass along what they tell me if that proves to
be necessary.
And now it has just got worse! I can't connect by the Snow Airport - I
can only connect by ethernet direct from the modem!!

the Time Capsule saying something like the volume could not be

now, the wireless network cannot be found :-( by either machine.
Using the Airport Utility to scan for the network, it scans and
reports it cannot find any wireless networks. The light on the
Time Capsule flashes amber which seems to confirm that it cannot
find the network.
I was thinking of setting up a new network but would like just get
it working on the one already setup if possible. Can anyone give
me any advice please?
