I will hold on to these e-mails and get to them later.
A friend of mine has an old computer that does some strange things when
she starts it up. It flashes some text (couldn't catch it) then the
screen wobbles and then the Windows ME start up picture comes up and it
just stays there. I pressed Ctrl-Alt-Delete to see if I could figure
out what is running and I got a table with info about the computer i.e.
cache memory size, SDRAM, etc. I pressed Ctrl-Alt-Delete again to
restart and then got the "checking drive for errors" thing. It ran and
then I got a screen which looked like black and white bubbles that were
VERY blurry - block like. Any ideas what is going on or where to start
looking?
