Not yet mentioned: Cold Fusion runs on Solaris. You have a wider variety
of web servers to choose from. And the development tool (Studio) is
based on HomeSite, which MS tried to buy back when Allaire bought it.
Awards -- that bastion of MSdom, ZD, gave CF a 'best tool' award ...
