Hi All
Well its finally got to the stage where my bosses realise that a
co-ordinated effort is needed to place our departments information on the
web. I have been trying unsucessfully for nearly 2 years to get a section
and all the necessary bits and pieces together.
I'm the so called webmaster for a government department and have slowing
introduced the department to the web. My bosses have now been given a
political order to get the agency on the web. At present our site will be
located on an IBM RS6000 box with the latest beta release of Apache. What
I need basically is a list of tools that will allow our sections to publish
their information onto the our server. I have been told to do little or no
actual coding of pages but to provide the tools and mechanisims for staff
to do this.
I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has been through this process
and eager to hear how they have coped.
I beleive that we want our staff to create the pages on our NT server and
then simply FTP these to our Unix box.
Many thanks in advance
Dane
