I'll call them myself. Perhaps they'll remember me as the bitch who called
the other day, went through their b.s. 5 minute Q&A (what's your username?
what's the last 4 digits of your phone number? what platform are you on?
what browser? what speed modem on you on?) before finally being allowed to
speak in person to one of their hallowed tech support gods to have this
conversation:
Me: Is your Web server down?
Tech Support Dude: No, what's your problem?
Me: Well, I've been trying to ftp files to it for the last hour and I can't
connect. Then I tried getting through with Netscape and that wouldn't go
through either.
Tech Support Dude: What ftp program do you use?
Me: Fetch
Tech Support Dude: I don't know Mac programs, so I can't help you with that.
Me: Fetch isn't the problem; it gets through to the other servers I use
just fine. It's your Web server. Would you please check it?
Tech Support Dude: OK (leaves, comes back a few moments later) Oh, yeah,
It's down, sorry, we're restarting it now.
