     I have used one in the past, before making a chair for myself. The
chief advantage of the kneeling chair is that it gives you some diversity,
so that you don't remain in the same position all the time. But then,
there are knee problems for some... not good to keep the knees in the same
position too long. Your joints lubricate themselves as they move.
Movement sucks lubricants out from the generation area in the bone ends.
This is why my Doc's invention of the first really workable hip prosthesis
really worked -- the titanium ball joint was not round, so that movement
would help suck and distribute the natural lubricants. As a result, the
joint lasted a very long time without the previously usual deterioration
of the hip side of the joint. It is probably one reason rocking is good
for older folks, keeping the joints moving a little bit to facilitate
circulation of both lubricants and blood.

    As I recall... there is
       * Standing
       * Perching (partly supported by the seat and partly by the legs,)
       * Sitting
       * ??? (On feet, but with legs folded all the way. Bad for knees.)
       * Kneeling   (Bad knees)
       * Various yoga like positions
       * Reclining
       * Laying down

   Natural man was not designed to spend nearly as much time in one
position as we do. We need variety in our daily activities, and in our
diet. And perhaps in our lighting as well. I have both standing and
sitting desks that I use, and another spot so I can do e-mail while I am
slowly using a stair stepper.
