The WC list has, as long as I've been on it, functioned like a community of
supportive friends; people who have back problems or other kinds of
personal problems as well as HTML problems. We make little effort to
separate life from work, as the two tend to go hand-in-hand. For some of us
who work alone, WC is an ideal source of friendly support. I doubt that the
character and flavor of WC will change anytime soon, especially since Al,
the List Mom, seems to be satisfied with the way the community has
developed. At least I hope it won't.

If WC's character is not to your liking, perhaps another list would be more
helpful to you. There are several listed on my Mailing Lists page on
http://www.wpdfd.com/MailLists.htm . You might try Steve Champeon's list at
hesketh.com, or the Babble list, as both are a little more focused than WC.
