Hold it, not so fast. I was just reading the other day that Jone's lawyers
have asked the judge who threw out the case to consider re-opening the case
or holding Clinton in contempt. Apparently there was a footnote in her
first judgement that left open this possibility, so it's not so cut and
dried as being "dismissed unilaterally."
Mind you, I'm not saying that I agree with any of this stuff that's going
on. I think it's 5% Clinton's stupidity and 95% Republican party b.s. Being
from North Carolina, I have a long-standing dislike of Jesse Helms, Lauch
Faircloth, or any of their cronies. Sure was good of ole Lauch to provide a
job in his office to Ken Starr's wife. So much for non-political
bipartisanship. To me, the fact that the U. S. government subidizes tobacco
farmers with one hand while it tries to prevent smoking with the other is a
much greater crime than anything Clinton ever dreamt of doing.
