Hi,
I'm sure you're excluding present company with your broad generalization :-),
but I did read the entire report and am watching Bill on tv now. I'm not
doing it because of some deep-seated prurient interest, but because I'm
interested in deciding for myself if he has knowingly obstructed justice -- as
much as that's possible given the motives behind the entire investigation and
subsequent releases. And that's all I care about. For once, the media's
slants or the politicians rhetoric aren't in the way of my thinking for
myself. Hallelujah.
He's slime as a human being, but I don't think the country can afford to get
rid of him over something that is nowhere near as severe as what Nixon did.
I do think it's sick when he tries to dodge the bullet by saying that all
people believe that what happened between them didn't constitute sex. What a
bunch of obvious legal b.s. that anyone with more than 40 I.Q. points can see
through. If he knew this was going to be broadcast, he should have been smart
enough not to utter such nonsense and risk losing support from those of us
that this statement infuriates.
