Hi Franko

You don't read Australian Personal Computer??? http://www.apcmag.com/

They recently had a review of GIMP - GNU Image Manipulation Program .. a
free program that supposedly rivals Photoshop. They had a copy on the free
CD you get with the mag. (they have a lot of other Linux stuff also)

The GIMP site is:

        http://www.gimp.org/

I've not used it.

I'm also (but put off by Javilk) thinking of going RedHat on an old 486.
I've recently "upgraded it" from Win3.11 fWG to Win95. It goes "alright"
but I seem to have a few clashes between, network card, sound and the CDROM
though 95 reports no conflicts.

I don't use it for much more that a test/extra browser, "background" FTP,
printer server. It just sits on my little network until needed.

thanks
Bruce
