Wait till Red Hat 5.2, or get 5.0. 5.1 is serously flawed.

Fixes are available, but last time I heard, 5.1 had 80 meg of stuff
that had to be downloaded. I am running 5.0, and it is rock stable.
TurboLinux 2.0 is also rock stable and seems to have a nicer X system.
