I have several such machines at work, mostly doing exactly what you plan.  Put
Win95 on it and grab a copy of MS-IE 3.02.  It works quite nicely and supports most
everything you will want to check on commercial sites (except the latest gee-whiz
stuff on some of the entertainment sites).   You'll have no trouble with NS4.05 on
that box.  That's the combo that works for us; we do make NS the primary browser
but that's because it is our "company standard".
