You've made some very good points here, Mike. Thank you for going into
so much depth. There is, truly, a lot to consider.
However, I have been asked, very specifically, to teach them the
rudiments of web page design. I doubt we'll get further than tables and
(maybe) frames! I think this is an ego thing -- they just want to know
what's going on, possibly to show that they can put up their own
personal pages. They are definitely not gonna try doing their own
company site ;-)! -- not with the information they'll get from me.
Besides, neither of them is knowledgeable in Photoshop, or any of the
peripheral requirements, and they're certainly not going to get into
scripting or anything of that sort. So I plan to keep it very simple and
basic. All the other (very valid) points you made will be addressed when
(and if) we do their company site.
