Coincidentally, I just got some quotes yesterday. One writer quoted $30 per
hour, said she's been writing/editing for web sites for a couple of years,
been writing for 8 years. My feeling is that you can find some pretty good
folks at $30 to $40 per hour who can write and edit and do a fine job.
However, if you want someone who can take really poor writing and turn it
into marketing gold you're probably talking $75 to $100 per hour -- at that
price you'd be getting a direct marketing expert who knows all the tricks.
It's not that the $30 per hour people aren't as good, they're just not as
specialized. If you want the names of the two writers I found, just let me
know and I'll forward their emails to you.
