well I know the FTC has been investigating privacy intrusions - didn't know
it also focused on what kiddie sites are capturing. more power to 'em ...

as much as i understand the 'let the buyer beware' mentality among net
oldies ... we cannot expect people who are new to the medium -- and who
have not a clue about the extent of privacy invasion that is
technologically possible -- to be victims because they are technologically
naive.

personally -- when a site asks me for info of any kind - and i can't easily
find a privacy statement -- i dash off a nasty gram. but i've been online
since 94.
