ahhh... but what would those tax dollars be used for? would the world-wide
community force government projects to be towards a global benefit??

Our bodies are garbage heaps: we collect experience, and from the
decomposition of the thrown-out eggshells, spinach leaves, coffee
grinds, and old steak bones of our minds come nitrogen, heat, and very
fertile soil. Out of this fertile soil bloom our poems and stories.

And this brings up one of the most interesting issues about online
businesses.

Over the next few decades, governments are going to see their corporate tax
revenue start to dry up, and they are going to have to turn to other
sources to support themselves. It is simply becoming impossible to
effectively tax online businesses that have various components of their
organization located in multiple places around the globe.

As people become more adept at working together without all being located
in the same place, and long distance telecommunications grows even less
expensive and more powerful that it is now, businesses will be composed of
individuals dispersed around the world.

Now try to figure out how to tax their economic output.
