Peter, I strongly encourage java as an *alternative* - not primary- means
of navigation.
a) many corps have firewalls set up to exclude java applets
b) many people have java off in their browser
c) it still isn't 'write once read everywhere'
it's "whiz-bang" ... IF you know your audience is outside a firewall and
enamored to latest toys - it's an ok thing to do.
but not for general purpose web sites - or even large intranets, IMO.
