Ok, i see ...

So it brings me other questions...

WUG  monitors  remote  devices  through  a firewall.  What  port is used
by  WINEVNT.EXE.

And also, if  the  map  is open  and  the device  don't send  any event
for a long period of time,
is there a possibility that the firewall would kill the WMI connections
?  or when  you say that  " It holds 
the connection open  waiting for them to arrive." does this  means that
WINEVNT.EXE have  its own  keep 
alive mechanism ?
