Ok, i see ... So it brings me other questions... WUG monitors remote devices through a firewall. What port is used by WINEVNT.EXE. And also, if the map is open and the device don't send any event for a long period of time, is there a possibility that the firewall would kill the WMI connections ? or when you say that " It holds the connection open waiting for them to arrive." does this means that WINEVNT.EXE have its own keep alive mechanism ? tx -Michel Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
