Is there a separate WhatsUp Gold Windows Events service? I only show WhatsUp Gold Service and WhatsUp Gold Syslog. I have everything configured for unexpected restarts, but I’m not seeing any alerts. Thanks!

No, you don't need to install anything on the systems being monitored, as long as they are running Windows 2000 or XP. If they are running NT 4.0 you might need to install the Windows Management Instrumentation Core (WMI CORE), which is a component of Windows that comes from Microsoft.
The WhatsUp Gold Windows Events service runs only on the WUG system to act as the collector.
