I've been asking for WUG and SQL integration for years on this list. It was exciting to see that IPSWITCH finally implemented a SQL backend, but disappointing when they chucked WUG for WUP.
Conceptually, if they can get the performance and functional shortcomings eliminated, WUP 'may' be a viable product. Meanwhile WUG continues to chug along faithfully.
I keep hearing people say WUP is slow on their systems. Mine is running pretty fast but I have a lot more monitoring I want to add and based on these emails, I'm not sure it will handle it.
Can some of you send more details on the performance? Server specs, number of devices and what monitoring you are doing.
