To a certain extent, it's always going to be tricky to explain this system, because it involves a series of if/then statements, some of which are invisible to the user. A user can't see what the admin has set as the default skin, so it's hard to understand the idea that "if I check 'see custom wikis', then I'll see what the admin has created, if the admin's created anything; otherwise, I'll see the default, if I haven't selected anything, or I'll see my choice if I've selected something." There's too many "ifs" there.
It might be easier to set this up on a wiki-by-wiki basis, where you see the following: * "The admin has set <Sapphire / Smoke / Custom / etc> as the default skin for this wiki." * "Your default as a user is to see the admin's chosen skin." * "To change your view of the skin, choose from the following options:" * "xx See the admin's custom/default skin." * "xx Sapphire" * "xx Beach" * "xx Brick" * ''xx etc" The default for the user on each wiki is to see the admin's chosen skin (custom or otherwise). If the user wants to see something different, then this system gives them the information about the admin's choice up front, and then offers a simple choice if they want to change it. This is basically the same system, with the same results -- but it gives the user more information, and makes the choice more clear. What do you guys think? -- Danny
