Hi, Let me see if I can shed a little light on what the choices are...
- Admin sets a default for the wiki - everyone without a personal preference (both anonymous and users) will see the admin choice. - If there is a personal preference and "see custom" is checked (only users can do this), that user will see the admin choice (if exists) or their personal choice. - If there is a personal preference and "see custom" is not checked (only users can do this), the user will only see their personal preference. - If there is no choice by either party, we show the "default" V2 skin/theme. That said, one thing we did when we introduced V2 was to cookie your skin preference so that when you come back to the wiki, whether logged in or logged out, you see the skin you have as a preference. That way, users who wanted monobook would see monobook across the site, whether logged in or logged out. We felt that this would be important to existing users. It looks like that cookie isn't "taking" the new values, which could be causing the disassociation. I think that is what is causing confusion... so if that's the case, let us clear that up and then it should be clearer. If this still isn't clear then we'll look at some modifications. Let me follow up with Inez and analyze a few of the cases you've pointed out to see what's going on. Thanks, John Q.
