Hey, As a SMW developer I am hoping that Wikidata will make people more aware of the advantages of structuring data in their wikis and thus end up with more users of SMW. Similarly I'm hoping that more developers will get interest, and that we'll have people working on both projects, exchanging ideas and code.

The qualify control could be a lot better though, but as it is, we simply do not have the resources for this. Most SMW development is done by either people that are creating additional features for their own or clients use-cases or by volunteers. If you want to help increasing the qualify and can throw developer time or other resources at it, then I'm more then willing to point out the places where we could use help.
