Hi David,

I agree - to a degree.

It is somewhat of a hassle, that the editing is not more user-friendly.
(Leigh's points below well-noted.). Wayne and I have talked about this, and
I understand it's a matter of money.

However, let me weigh in here, with the community angle.

I think part of the issue, is the 'positioning' of using WikiEdcucator.
Using WE is not just about adding content - it's about joining and
contributing to a community. And, in this case - the 'cost' of entry, is
learning simple skills - this point has to be emphasized...it is relatively
simpple to use and master the skills....

We have tutorials, and that is fine...but in general it takes less than an
hour to teach someone the basics (I've found). "Give me you lunch hour. I'll
give you access to the world (of WikiEducator)!"....Then, a bit o'
value-added WikiNeighbouring will 'hook em' further into the process.

Is an hour too much time, to gain access to this great community? How about
presenting it upfront, that it will take an hour to learn the basics, and
then someone will be there to help them along....(the joy is in the
collaboration, and they will experience that through the
WikiNeighbouring....Let's strip away the fear to see what's possible....

Other folks thoughts?
