I have a personal philosophy of not 'modifying' user pages, other than
adding comments - I may be old fashioned, but I think that user pages
'belong' to the users themselves.
I was mainly thinking about 'content' (project?) pages.
I thought about using the {{WIP}} for abandoned projects, but for example
all of the pages I am working on have a {{WIP}} mainly to indicate that
there will be frequent changes (if someone wants to use it in their class,
they should link either to specific versions or be aware that by the time a
student gets to it the page might be quite different).
To me this is different than 'abandoned', in the sense that there are a few
headings, no content and no activity for a while. But as I go about I find
pages where deleting might not be necessarily a good idea because I can see
the value of someone picking up and building the content.
Perhaps the {{stub}} is a good option, and hope that someone picks it up? I
would suggest that a link to all stub pages be placed in the main page under
the *Get Involved ~ There are so many ways... *heading.
Does that sound like a viable compromise? I remember going to those links
when I joined WE and wasn't clear about what 'to do'
