Hi,

Processor speed is the key for converting AVIs to MPGs (in my case, with my Pinnacle Studio app). With my old PC (just retired), it was 3 minutes/minute; now it's 1:1! Then I can work on the mpg to edit it. 30 minutes cassette gives about 7+GB avi (4MB/sec capture), but only about 30MB in mpg.

Regards,

The option exists in Nero Vision Express 2, but it's hidden. At
the bottom of the NVE2 screeen is a button labelled "more".
Click it and additional options appear. Click "default video
options", if you are in the first screen, or "video options" if
you have already chosen a particular task.

Thanks again,

Found it and it seems to be working. Need a faster computer it's
going to take 4 hrs to transcode the files !

Mike
