That's what I thought you were having problems with at first.
You may have to combine this sort of action with suggestions from Kylde

On my ( 2K system - with OE6, IE6 and Gravity installed as a newsreader
I have an "Mail recipient" entry in my send-to folder

Clicking on properties offers to let me pick a program

And - you shouldn't need to reboot for OE and/or IE setup changes

(I used copy and paste the entry to get a second entry that I could change)
I would try changing that - but I daren't risk this system at the moment.
( got Excel stuff on the boil for delivery next week)
