Mark, thanks for the info. As a note, on a slightly slower system
(XP/2400+, Epox, 333Mhz memory) I didn't experience sound/video
synchronization or sound playback problems as I now do on the Asus
board, and I'm using the same video and sound card as on the
other board. The Asus system is allegedly faster and should be
better, not worse. As you might suspect, I haven't been happy
with the A7N8X-E Deluxe. I've got a comparable MSI mobo. sitting
in the closet and one of these days I'm going to give that a try
to satisfy my curiosity.
