Subject: Internet: Beware of broadband speed overkill

news analysis Today's high-speed Internet access packages may sound tempting, but consumers should think long and hard > about how much broadband they actually need before they ante up.

In Albany, GA Mediacom Cable turns you loose with all they have at any given time, for the same price. It is Bell South, the phone company that has different speeds they sell and the low speed has only a 10 MB mailbox. I am in the city limits and Bell South is still not available in my area. People South of me and out of the city limits have Bell South. If Mediacom had not made high speed Internet available to me via cable almost 4 years ago, where would I and my computer business be today? Thank you, Mediacom!
