4) Units that die and go into reboot mode over and over, I've seen several of

the DI-524 and 624 units do this, the unit will reboot, reload, internet
access will come up and a minute or 2 later it will do this again and again.
I've seen this happen with all hardware and firmware revisions. A couple of
the replacement units from Dlink have done the same thing.

5) Wireless Incompatibility, this has happened so often now that I can
usually know with 70-90% accurracy whether a client has a dlink router when
they call up to complain about wireless no longer working after working
perfectly for months at a time, typically with the ZCS stuck showing
"acquiring ip address". Sometimes a firmware update fixes the problem, other
times not. Sometimes this problem happens in conjunction with one or more of
the previously listed problems.

6) In conjuntion with the DIR-625, client also got a DWA-542 wifi nic for his
desktop

The DIR-625 was set at the default of mixed n, g, b mode, in this setup,
using ZCS on XPPro, the XP wifi utility would get stuck on "acquiring ip
address", at the same time, both other wireless machines on the lan (both in
G mode) would have their connection dropped from the router or slowed down to
a crawl, around the speed of a 14.4 modem. The only resolution was to set
the desktop to use the Dlink wifi utility instead of XP's. I also set the
router to G mode only, not sure if that also had an impact on this or not,
now there are no wireless connectivity issues.

I am sure I could come up with several other beefs agains Dlink if I sat down
and thought hard enough. Generally speaking their stuff is PURE JUNK IMO,
with the exception of what I started this thread with. Note my comments are
based on seeing and working with over 100 Dlink routers of one kind or
another, plus an equal number of other devices like nics, etc.

Yes indeed.

I think it's a new product that only recently came out.
