I agree that remote admin can be tedious at the best of times !  The 
problem I come across with DyDNS is the time delay when you try to 
reconnect !  I have seen 20 minute delays !  I'm not sure if it isn't 
the ISP that causes this or "No IP " is just slow in getting the new 
address !

I haven't met this behaviour !  Probably because I do so very little 
remote access work !  Also I tend to use hardware firewalls, so most of 
the time these things are set for bridging rather than have to fight 
double NATing!

I wonder if Dlink has included some kind of "Phone Home" ?
