Yes I have seen this !  I belive its an overheat problem !  Unit that do 
this always seem to get very hot !

Touch wood !  I have had very few problems.  In all cases the 
distributer has simply replaced bad units !  So apart from crap tech 
support, not really dealt directly !

Again not to much experience with this, I have always used the Dlink 
Wireless utility !  So very few of my clients use Wins.  Those that do, 
are mostly laptops with built-in wirless !
