Well, the docs clearly stated that you could use ZCS or the Dlink utility 
under XP.  Plus I can't see it making any difference as much of the N stuff 
should be handled at the driver level anyways.  And thirdly, it does 
associate with the AP, it just seems to hang up on getting an ip address, 
that fact that it causes all the other machines to have a problem, is well.. 
a problem ;-)

With some manufacturers cards, I'd agree with you as their wifi utility 
sucks. I used to use the manufacturer utility for most clients, but at least 
with ZCS, you can get a reasonably consistent experience across products.
